TECH Talk - July 2024

TECH Talks – the virtual series designed to provide technical assistance to residents interested in learning more about Glynn County’s Superfund Sites. Each episode will help raise awareness about the status of our area's hazardous waste sites and what you can do to help. In this episode we will be discussing Hercules 009 landfill, a long-closed site where pesticide wastes were stabilized and buried. The landfill now is mostly covered by an asphalt automotive parking lot. Benzene and some other hazardous chemicals have been detected in ground water off-site to the east.
