Who? We are you, your neighbor and anyone else interested in the environmental and cultural
health of Glynn County.

What? We work for a safe and healthy place to raise our families by assuring a clean environment and healthy economy for citizens of coastal Georgia.

Where? Glynn County, Georgia which resides within one of the most environmentally unique ecosystems on earth.

When? Now, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Why? Because we share a desire for and commitment to a clean environment & healthy economy.

How? We do it through a broad choice of activities in areas such as: Community Organizing; Technical Assistance; Water Quality; Air Quality; Education; Public Hearings; Lobbying Efforts; Clean-Ups; and Superfund Work.

September 3rd - GEC First Friday Lunch – 11 AM at Jim’s Corner Cafe, 1312 Newcastle St., Brunswick. Our guest speaker will be Mindy Egan from the Initiative to Protect Jekyll Isl. concerning the Conservation Planning Committee meeting on Sept. 8th.

September 8th (Wen.), Jekyll Island Conservation Planning Committee Public Meeting, 5:30 to 7:30 PM, , at McCormick’s Grill (Golf Course), Jekyll Island.

September 27th (Mon.), 6:30 to 8:30 PM, September 28th  (Tue.), 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, Selden Park Gym, 3401 Ross Rd., Brunswick  – LCP Chemicals Superfund Site Public Health Assessment, public meeting for the release of the document.

October 2nd (Sat.), 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM – Coast Fest, One Conservation Way, Brunswick.  GEC volunteers needed.
